Sartharion Goes Down, Down, Down

Another really good raiding night.  In VoA, the IceWatcher went down.  The first 3 bosses in ICC went down.  We were able to stop early because we had accomplished all of the goals for the evening and…Sartharion went down, down, down,  3D style.  So another smok’n title was added to the roster – of the Nightfall.

While I would like to see all of the changes that will be coming with the next expansion of WoW, as I think they will be very interesting, I’m very glad not to be one of those players that has rushed through the content only to be 6+ months away from the new stuff and become disenchanted with the game.  There is a lot left for my multitude of characters to do between now and the expansion.

Elder Smokimus

If you look to your right, you will notice that Smok is now – “Elder Smokimus”.  Thanks to Iwasreported (aka Boss), Prana (aka The Real Boss), Kwiken (aka The Kraken), and Bromas (aka the person I want to be when I grow up), all of whom ran me through the dungeon Elders.

Please put your seat-backs and tray tables in the up-right position, as this flight will land in about two months when Children’s Week comes around.

Been Busy…

I like the “…” thing.  Don’t know why, just do.

Been busy trying to get the most appropriate title in game for me – “Elder”.  I’m almost done.  Then I’ve got one last achievement before I get a Violet Proto-Drake . It’s the PvP achievement with Children’s Week and I’m not really looking forward to it.  I must have that mount.

Damn the Completionist in Me!

I’m a competionist by nature.  I don’t like starting something and not finishing.  This is problematic in WoW as there really isn’t any “end”.

Did I mention that I’m an alt-o-holic?

Add completionism and altoholism and you have a very bad combination.  This is doubly so when there are events like the holiday events in game.   Smoki has completed the Love Is In The Air events/achievements and my DK alt Muradizon is trying to complete it as well.  Don’t know if he will be able to do this as he is only lvl 73/74, but we are going to give it a good solid try.

Then we are going to finish the Lunar Festival Event,  I’m pretty sure all of my alts that are higher than lvl 66 can do this.  I’ve been staying up way too late to get these done, but I can’t help it.  I…Must…Finish…The…Holiday….Events.

For alts that can’t finish the events, the experience received from them is too much to pass up.  I guess I will be seeing how little sleep I can have and still be “productive”.

Mount Hyjal…Yawn

Last night the guild ran Mount Hyjal for the achievement and for fun.  We got the achievement, but the fun…not so much.  I can’t imagine doing this raid at level.  It would have certainly made me consider forgoing any future raids with the unending trash waves followed by what would have been uber hard bosses.  The loot just would not have been worth it.

I know that Kara and other BC instances were great.  Kara seems to be the universally chosen favorite raid of the guild.  I’ve liked it the times I’ve been in there, but I never did it at level and I imagine that would have been amazingly hard.  Certainly interesting though.  Unlike the tedium that is Mount Hyjal.
